Yes, sometimes kids dont know the value of grandma's things and just sell them at yard sales or donate them to the Goodwill Store. I have picked up old quilting/applique books at 3 books for $1.00.....just let me know what you are looking for and I will keep my eye out for you.

jacquie,
I am very anxious to see what you do with the top. If you add the sashing I think you will be very happy. Then the borders....AOTH might have to be put on hold for a few weeks until you finish this.

I am putting the binding on my quilt. Was hoping to have it finished this weekend, but with the holiday, I dont think that will hapen.

i've had a few hours to spend on my autumn row robin!!
finally!!
i've rearranged it all and added the sashing.
i have also made a good amount of ivy leaves in 3 sizes that i will applique down the sides and trail a small way along the horizontal sashing too.
i'm really thrilled at how lovely it looks with the coloured sashing!!!
it's really brightened it up!!
great work everyone!!

jacquie, That is simply beautiful. I am anxious to see the applique added. But have you decided what pattern you will use to quilt it? I am really anxious to see all of them completed
