I am not sure why your PO doesn't have a flat rate stamp. Perhaps they know it by another name....how about just asking for a $4.95 stamp and see what they come up with. I have not heard of such a thing.....we don't have that stamp. It isn't like it is a special order or anything.....
i'll try that way.

the downside is our post office is very tiny. we only have 1 person that works there.

another town next to us actually delivers our mail thats how small we our.

there' talk that we will lose our post office next year.

And I did lose the one I always go to, but the upside of that is the workers there went to the one I have to go to now, and they all know me!!! So no real change for me except location. As for the stamp, it is just a regular stamp that is $4.95. but since I use it for the flat rate envelopes, I just call it the flat rate stamp....it can be confusing I guess.

Those stamps can now be purchased at the USPS web site and be delivered to your door.

I should not look at these beautiful blocks. It gets me side tracked. Those blocks are so lovely. I love how you pieced the plates. That is so cool.

I did not finish my plates this weekend, I have had a fever now for four days. Not sure what it is, my mouth is full of canker sores and now a fever blister. Working on them, just have to finish appliqueing down. Will get out by the 15th if possible. I know, we have a little longer, but want to keep my deadlines.

a fever makes me feel so uncomfortable i can only imagine how terrible you must feel.

i hope you feel better soon. there's still time to finish the blocks, they go together very quickly once you have the slices in the point shape.

thank you so much for the compliment on the r/w/b swap blocks.

I did manage to have all my plates sewn, recruited the kids to cut out leaves for me, and then Sunday was able to get the blocks ready to applique. I do have two completed. Here are my blocks I am sending. I really like them. My DH said they were "real pretty".

It amazes me what stripes can do.
