When making these quilt blocks, Mariposa has asked us to make our blocks in 3" increments...plus the seam allowance, so a 3" finished block measure 3 1/2" , a 6" square block would measure 6 1/2" x 6 1/2", you could have blocks measuring 3 1/2" x 6 1/2", 6 1/2" x 9 1/2", and so on, etc. If your blocks don't measure 6 1/2", you'll perhaps want to border them to end up with 9 1/2" maybe? Good luck!

Is it allow to applique chicken? Are all kind of chicken allowed ? Hens, cocks and biddys (I'm not sure about the correct translation  I mean very small chickens :-D )

All of the general rules for swaps also apply here. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-20154-1.htm.the link doesn't work
    can you help?

If you do a search on the top of the page you can find it. Just click on search and in the box type in funky chicken if you want to do a more in depth search you then click on advanced search and choose for it to only search in the swap part of the forum. Sorry I don't know how to add a link. Hope this helps you

I hope they will find a good home, I think they will not get a chance to go back :D and yes give them good feed and water

...one last question about the colour of the background. Can I use every colour or is it only a special colour I may use?
