Jan, I do know your pain. I haven't lost my husband, but I have lost my precious grandson. This poem stays on my laptop and I look at it often. I hope it comforts you too.

My life is but a weaving between my God and me,

I do not choose the colors, He worketh steadily.
Oftimes He weaveth sorrow, and I in foolish pride,
Forget He sees the upper, and I the underside.

Not till the loom is silent, and shuttles cease to fly,
Will God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful in the skillful Weaver's hand
As the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.

Fayzer that is one of the most beautiful things I have read! Each night I remind myself that God has a plan, even if I do not understand it and this explains it SO well. Thank you for sharing it with us.

That's a very beautiful poem Faye - thank you for sharing it with us and for the reminder that no matter how great or small our success or loss it is part of the master plan. I've always beleived that if the Lord brings you to it he will get you through it.

Lori and dabbler, I am a firm believer in the master plan, however grief overwhelms me at times. That is when I read this poem and journal to my grandson. The journaling has helped me a lot. Sometimes I'm angry or just in despair. I can write how I feel and get it out of my heart.

Fayzer thanks for the poem, I saved a copy of it. I will be passing it onto my sister. She lost a 4yr old GD in a car accident. She has never been the same. She had the little girl probably more than the parents, so the loss was great. Thanks

Default June sp

Yesterday I got my sp package from Onalee and what a package it was!

To feed my habit......black licorice and werther's! Three crocheted dishrags
in very nice colors.........a retractable back scratcher, good gift......pretty note pad
with an S on the cover....spool of thread.....pack of note cards.....pink, yellow and
green fabric, some patriotic fabric for my favorite holiday and lots and lots of red fabrics.
Can't wait to use the flag fabric, maybe in a doll quilt.

She even sent me something to add to my collection of dust (to go with what is
already on my tables, floor, etc).... a jar of Genuine Idaho Dust. What a hoot!

Thanks, Onalee, I love it all!
