Just think...we'll spend a day looking back to see what everyone wants. Aargh!

Lynnie, I hadn't thought of that. So true...

I just saw this right after I claimed another batch of fabrics from the local yard sale site (6 yards of 3 really cute fabrics for $15...how could I pass that up? There were 2 more I wanted, but I restrained myself!) & I had to share:

    "
Over the many years that I have been quilting, several general principles have applied: 1. There is no cure for the quilting habit. 2. We all buy fabric as though it will suddenly become unavailable next week. 3. We spend an irrational amount of time using as little as possible of one acquired fabric. 4. Many quilters have a soft spot for cats."

I love cats and bought some awesome fabric with cats on it! My kitchen is also eclectic, but we live in the Mountains with natural wood interior. My favorite colors are brights; which don't always go well in my kitchen, or greens, that usually do.

I like making Mug rugs and made quite a few to sell at the Christmas fair I go to every year. Some are very simple, like the sports ones, and some are more elaborate, like the ones young girls like to put in their bath rooms as a kind of newfangled doily.

The funniest story I have is making my son one out of car fabric, with two matching coasters; He works on cars in his spare time and I thought it would be cool to give him a clean spot to put a snack! His wife called and said "Justin loved the Mouse pad and matching coasters!" Made me crack up! Mouse pad ~ what ever works!

LOL! Mouse pad? That's creative anyway. When I made the batch to give my boyfriend's staff for Christmas, I found a photo online of this tag (I've no idea where the woman got them, but I wish I did!) that said "What is a mug rug anyway?" and gives a brief explanation. My boyfriend typed it up with a merry Christmas from both of us and we stuffed it in the Christmas card with their additional Christmas bonus that was donated by all the professors in his department. One of the 2 guys that got one with a coffee cup applique took the bag, pulled out the tissue, pulled out the mug rug and reached straight for his coffee cup and put it right on it, then said to me "Do I have the right idea?" before he even opened the card.

I'm not the cat person at my house, my boyfriend is. Dusty and I are both dog people. When we lived in town when he was little, we had a yellow lab named Shadow, then when we moved to the country, we got a miniature red poodle named Ginger. Backwards I know. Our neighbors had 2 black labs, and they all thought they had 2 homes. Ginger also thought she was big as the labs were, and was more of a watchdog than either of them (other dogs would wander onto either property and she'd chase them off, but not people). So, since we're of such differing opinions on animals, and he travels so much, we have no animals at all.

Well, I'm sure going to want to see what my partner likes, so I guess I better add my likes too!

My style is very eclectic. My favorite color at the moment is teal, and love it with reds and pinks. I love animals of all kinds, but really into birds and owls right now. I have a cat that is like my baby now that my babies are almost grown.

Dustysmama, those are so much. Fun and won't get lost on a desktop! Good going! Hope you are over your bug. Mine has passed, too.

ok making it easy I am making valentines and hope they will be loved. Make me anything it will be loved and used there no scrolling back ten pages. this is a nicely chatty room btw.. some are so quiet. I like reading the updates. through the travels in forums its such a nice way to slowly get to know each other. I am off to sew I have so many commitments I want to do this nicely so better early and hopeful it works than late and slammed and poor quality.

Thank you Nancia! I'm feeling a lot better, but it's not completely gone yet. I still have 3 days of antibiotics left. It seems like every time I get a cold anymore, it takes longer and longer to get rid of it.

I just hope that when they look at them in a year they are thinking they like them instead of wondering who they can regift them to, lol!

Elisabrat, I made Valentine's also, that was my very first thought because of the time of year I guess. They are done and waiting, will wait to get my name and if she doesn't do Holidays then I'll have to do something else. Can't imagine no one not liking Valentine's. We'll see.....I like greens and blacks (colors in my kitchen) teals and chocolate brown (colors in my living room) and anything purple to lavender and teals and turquoise, just because that's my favorites. Don't have cats, allergic to them and no dog for me, lost 2 and that was enough. Have to have that coffee in the morning, absolutely, black only no sugar or cream. Enjoy iced tea in the summer. That should tell you a little something about me.
