Everybody's Mug Rugs are beautiful, I love the peacock mug rug. Simply stunning. I can't wait for the next swap, this was so much fun.

Everyone's mug rugs are beautiful!! I haven't heard from mine yet if she got it or not, I hope so. I am going to call the 800 number on my receipt on my monday and ask if it has been delivered.

Ooh, I love the peacock! LoupEsprit it's beautiful! All of the pictures have been so cute! I can't wait to do this again!!!

So glad you like them, Pam! I was so nervous! LOL.

Here's a bigger pic of the peacock; the applique was fun to do, now that I figured out the 'right' way to do the elmer's glue method! I just wish I had done the binding differently. :(

Elmer's glue method? I feel like I'm missing out on something here? Somebody needs to share!!!!

I would like to know about the elmers glue method too!

It's something I learned here on the board.

You take the applique pieces with the fusible already on them (the part I skipped before - d'oh!) and glue them in place with a THIN layer of elmer's school glue. (It HAS to be the washable school glue!) Iron with NO steam to dry the glue, then sew the pieces on. The glue holds them in place so you can glue them without chasing them around the quilt, and when you wash the quilt, the glue comes out!

i'm confused. why do you need glue when you have the fusible?
