WHITE CHRISTMAS
dedicated to SHARON B.
from TINK"S MOM { also known as SusieT. } does the T. stand for troublemaker I wonder ??????

'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten
And children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white.

I make lemon pie with Eagle Brand (or store brand) sweetened condensed milk. I just use the can of milk plus lemon juice and it sets up to a nice soft consistency; my SIL puts eggs in her and bakes it, so it's a bit sturdier. Either way is delicious and pretty foolproof.

As far as the lemon merange pie....when I cut into it to serve it, the innards looked like cellulite before the first bite was taken. I will not use corn starch again in my pies! I drained it in the sink and then it was ok! Tasted really good though!
Come one Cindy, Lets go buzz Sulabug and Huntannette on our Super Deluxes! weeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day.
I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
I thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along the unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
And in despair I bowed my head:
“There is no peace on earth,” I said,
“For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.”
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men.”
Till, ringing singing, on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men!

Don't know.
All of the packages except for a couple are in and out of Canada.

Knitette...yours is on it's way, should be there hopefully this week. Packages going across the pond are going faster.

Neesie 11-30-2013 03:58 PM

My package is still sitting on the floor, next to my desk. I've just about given up on Phoebe 'helping' me with it. Looks like I'm gonna be forced to wait, after all. :p

I'm in another swap and it's been my experience parcels to and from Canada take at least double, often three times as long as they do to reach the US. I've no idea why, as I thought the Border checks were similar to those of US? Anyone know why it takes so long?

m-fay 12-01-2013 02:38 AM

It took less that 13 days from USA to Australia

I am still waiting for my SSPeson to announce "I got it" but alas, not yet. I will wait patiently in the hole with my early Christmas present...1891 Singer VSII treadle machine! Her name is ROSIE WoooHooo! I finally loaded my very first picture on QB. Gosh! I am so proud!

CookyIN 12-01-2013 05:48 AM

Judylee, she's gorgeous!

Cindy60545 12-01-2013 05:54 AM

Oh my Judy! What an early Christmas present! Rosie is gorgeous! Now you can sew right there where DH is & not make a lot of noise & bother his surfing of the internet! Well, almost no noise! I can see you giggling & laughing in delight as you use Rosie.
DH is home & replaced the rafters in my studio yesterday. Why is it men can make so much of a mess doing something? Now I have to go vacuum my studio before I can get any quilting done! But, I did manage to get rid of some things that really needed to be gotten rid of in the process. Now to finish straightening up so I can get back to quilting.

Today's hint: I've spent a lot of time in your state.

homecaregiver 12-01-2013 06:21 AM

I just love this picture and would love to have it as my a screen top Can you tell me how I could do this and still get the movement of the snowflakes???
Thanks
Pat

A Holly Jolly Christmas.
Have a holly, jolly Christmas
It’s the best time of the year
I don’t know if there’ll be snow
but have a cup of cheer
Have a holly, jolly Christmas
And when you walk down the street
Say Hello to friends you know
and everyone you meet
Oh ho, the mistletoe
hung where you can see
Somebody waits for you
Kiss her once for me
Have a holly jolly Christmas
and in case you didn’t hear
Oh by golly have a holly
jolly Christmas this year

We can wait together Bezzie as I don't have mine either.
I know it's on it's way and will get here sometime.
I went to a Christmas dinner last weekend (for someone who would was visiting) and we had a little gift exchange. We all opened our presents but mine was made by a woodworker who had enclosed the gift in a wooden box which he GLUED together. In order to get the present out I am to get a chizzel and hammer. I love it! It will sit under my tree until Christmas. The moral of the story is that I am a patient woman :o)

Judith1005 12-01-2013 08:46 AM

Dreamer, I love your packaging. How creative and adorable!

I can hardly wait for opening day. I have had my ss package for a looong time! I ignored it for a long time but the closer I get to the big day the more curious I get to see what is inside.
I would like to give another hint to my special person but I think I am all out of hints. Ummmmm, you are one of those that don't post a lot.
Guess that will have to do. I see that everyone had a great Thanksgiving as we did. Yes, we had turkey and ham and all the trimmings. My youngest did most of the cooking along with her sister. Yummy!
Tracy made a really yummy cranberry sauce. She put whole cranberry sauce, walnuts and manderin oranges in a blender and blended just enough so we could taste little chunks of cranberrys, walnuts and oranges.
Soooo good!

Judylee2 12-01-2013 10:50 AM

OMG! LOL! When I ready your story, I laughed and laughed. I then read it to my DH only to find that this time the woodpecker became woodworker and wasn't even funny to him! i like it with the ingenious woodpecker instead!
hehehehe

The christmas tree is up & my box is under it so it won't tempt me as much, but the cats are another story! They're busy exploring the whole set up! Hope we still have a tree standing come Christmas morning!

bezzie2013 12-01-2013 01:33 PM

Judy and Amy~ Your machines are beauties!! :)

PenniF 12-01-2013 05:16 PM

First...beautiful machines ladies. Congratulations on your lovely new "toys". I have one that was my grandmothers....but it needs a new belt...and has not been used since I was a girl. I used to sit underneath and "pump" the treadle for her while she sewed. I have not given any hints to my SS.....but since we are getting closer... You Y Y..............You were the beneficiary of "new" duplicates in my collection.:)
