Elisabrat and Gaiatender, if you two want to be each other's partners, please PM one another. Thank you!

Lara, poor Daisy. I tried to get her a sweet new soft harness to walk her when there are firecrackers, fire engines, people with very large hats or scary plastic bags blowing in the wind so she doesn't pull her little head off in her collar. Unfortunately, my little piglet doesn't fit into any of them. Everything is made in China and they have a strange method of measurement. Oh well.

Krystyna, Thank You for sending me the guidelines, charts, forms, etc! With your help I am figuring it out. That matching up of partners who have not had each other before is no easy task!

So Daisy sounds like Pip, not just in looks, but in how easily she chokes herself on walks. I hear ya about how that takes the fun out of it! We found a solution that works great and there is no more choking and gagging coming from the little doggies. It adjusts in size with Velcro, so the fit can be quite exact even for little piggies. It isn't pretty but you could gussy it up if you wanted to:

Oh I forgot to tell you not to buy a size small for Daisy. Pip is a size medium in this. So it would be this one:

Krystyna Thank you for all you have done for this swap! I am glad I was able to help you out back in when the storm hit. Buzzinbumble.... I feel for you! Keeping up with who is whose partner, who mailed out, who hasn't, leaving feedback, etc....is not a small task! If you ever need someone to take over for a month or so, just let me know, I'll be glad to back you up. Anything more than that, I'd go nutz!! by the way.... Love the bees pooping honey! HA!

Oh just a thought.... I may have missed something.... but whatever happened to changing the name of this swap to "Mini quilts" instead of Doll quilts?? Might be a good time to change since a new hostess is being born.
But if I missed part of that conversation.... please disregard this post.... I'm not always up to date in reading all posts.

Lisa, all this time I've been wondering..."Where is Lisa... How come we aren't having Lisa take over...Aaaaaack!" You did such a nice job last winter! That is super nice of you to offer your help.
I was wondering about the timing of the name change too. What do you all think?

Krystyna 07-04-2013 10:42 AM

Lara, I measured poor piggy Daisy but the measurements on the tags have nothing to do with the measurements of the harness. It was a Smoochie Pooch harness. Small was no good. Medium was ridiculously small. So sad. It had a little pink daisy on it with a crystal heart in the middle.

Matching up isn't a big deal once you get used to it. Or you can always do what I did when I took over from Chele. Just say the heck with this. I'm starting over!

Lisa, I think the plan was to wait until the 50th and then switch over. BUT ... heh heh heh ... maybe I'll be doing something else and hogging up that name. And, not my call, but I think it might be best to keep it for a while until Lara gets established.

I agree....keep the name for now.

OK. So is everybody happy? I know I am!
Happy FOURTH OF JULY!!!!
Hubby is at work, kids are working, so it's me and the pups.
I sent hubster off to work with oven BBQ chicken and ribs.
Pups and I will celebrate by (a) having Daisy either shake in my lap or hide under the bed, (b) keeping Feeney from trying to steal food off the stove top.

[QUOTE=Krystyna;6159040]So ... here is what I'm doing with my "spare" time. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...o-t225112.html

I really like the squiggley quilting on the back -- good choice. So far a "great" 4th of July -- all kids and grandkids here to see fireworks from the water and the boat motor seized up. Had to be towed back from a fun trip to swim in one of the bayous. Now onto "Plan B" ... whatever that's going to be ...r

Happy 4th to you too! Poor Daisy! Give her a little kiss for me and tell her it will all be OK.
I just met my 26 yr old son's GF for the first time today and I already adore her! So I am happy, happy. He has played the bachelor, don't need a girlfriend, never gonna get married guy for the past 7 years, so I am just grinning ear to ear. And whoever said a man just needs a good woman in his life to straighten him out is SO right! Wow has he come a long way in a short time. Happy Day to everyone, hope your weather is as fabulous there as it is here....82, sunny and slight breeze. :)
