    Exclamation Secret Pal- February 2018

This is a monthly secret pal swap. There is a sign up every month, and you can choose whether or not to participate each month. You will get a different partner every month, and the person you send to will be different than the person you receive from. Failure to send you package after signing up will be cause to be banned from all future swaps.

After receiving your Secret Pal’s details, go to work and put together a package with something you think your pal would like. There is a $10.00 limit on this swap that does not include what you have in your stash. Most swappers do not mind like-new stash items.

You will need to send ME a PM when mailing and receiving. Also send a PM to your SP thanking them. This way I can keep my records straight. You also should take pictures and post in group.

Packages need to be mailed out by February 15th, this is a Firm deadline. All International mailings must be mailed by February 10th Firm! If you know that you cannot mail by that date, Please Do Not Sign Up.

For international mailing it is very important that you mark your parcel as a 'Gift'. Usually on the Customs Declaration there's a box you can check. Also, the value should be $10 only (even if you send diamond necklace). The person receiving the package is liable for Import Duty, Tax and a Handling fee. This can cost the person receiving as much as $40.

As an aside, padded envelopes are much cheaper to send compared to small boxes. I'm not sure if that's true for every carrier or not.

Our International board members are welcome to join the swap.
You must have a phone # or email to sign up

Fill out the following and PM me with your information:

Hello Swappers! We are up to 10 participants right now. We need a few more so we can mix it up! In the meantime, I'd like people to post the most unexpected thing they ever received in a swap. Something you were pleased with, and hit you as a happy surprise!

Crispy's in charge? How could I not join!

    I'll send you my info.

As for my most unexpected thing? Hm...I received a lint roller and I thought....huh? And THEN I started working in my quilting cave for a while and realized how nice it was to have when using the seam ripper. I could pull all the schnibbles out with the roller. I have gone through two full ones so far. So what was a 'eh' item, turned out to be a necessity! Experienced quilters make the best swappers

I just noticed we have two "frogs" in our midst.

Glad I didn't choose "fly" for any portion of my name! (gulp) LOL

Hi Have4boys- We will miss you this month! Hope to see you in the future!

Red- I knew I could count on you! Thanks for joining! I like the lint roller. It's a thoughtful idea.

Very recently, I was the recipient of a swap package from England. Before I opened the package, my husband studied the package, saw the image of the Queen on the post mark and recalled his visit there. (I've never been.) He was reminiscing about buildings, history and gardens of lavender. I opened the package and there was a sweet little sachet of lavender that was carefully cultivated in the sender's garden. Both my husband and I jumped on it. We were both delighted!
