[QUOTE=Whigrose;7057584]I'm in if it's just the color scheme that is our guideline. As far as the creativity side, I would imagine design ideas would come from conversations with our partners. I certainly could have some fun if my swappie would like a pot of gold, a leprechaun or basket of potatoes. My paternal grandparents were right off the boat but that doesn't mean I want my house full of shamrocks

best,

Whigrose,
I think like you do, but some of the swappers go ahead and make their mug rugs before partners are assigned... So I think it just depends...

Lynnie,
I'm thinking Brat will post it closer to when this one is over or after its over.
You know she won't forget you...in your words, you're a "jalopy" like me..lol.

Suern3,
Nice pkg you received from Sewred. That happy camper towel is great!
Regards,
Kif

And so it begins... view out my back door, supposed to snow all night, into tomorrow afternoon. Predicting 10-12". We're in the country, so we'll see how deep the drifts are in a few hours..

I simply couldn't wait any longer.

My package from Patchesnposies has been here unopened for well over a week. Because of this, I relived being a child seeing a gift with my name on it knowing I couldn't open it until a certain date. Let me tell you, each day here has been ten times worse than the day before but I could not justify opening my package until I sent hers on its way, and it is. Today it got the better of me and I caved.

OMG, ladies! Patchesnposies is over the top! She absolutely put so much efforts into her rugs and other gifties. I'll spare you the details, but I have sent her a pm fully loaded with tons of emotion, gratitude and thanks.

My first pin cushion, needle book and beaded pins. Swoon. Fabrics, ribbons, needles and pins, oh my! Did you spot the precious little napkins and their holders on the rugs?

What a very lucky girl I am.

Thank you, Patchesnposies!!!! (((hugs)))

Best,

Love those pins. What kind of pins do you use? I would like to learn to make them. Would someone share how to do them Please. They don't look hard to do but what do I need to buy to make them? great package

WOW Patchesnposies really does a great pkg. Hope she gets my name some time. I love those pins, do you make them yourself? I'd love receiving them, and maybe someday being able to make my own. Any tips on what to get and how to make them?

get long pins. JA's and michaels has them in the bridal dept. go to the bed dept. buy a bunch of pretty beads. and string them onto the pin. get some crazy glue and glue them n. that's it. come out cute and really make the pc look nice. Sometimes, if the name is short enough, i'll use the letter beads and put seed beads between the letters and spell the name. mine is Lynn so it's easy to just do 4. sometimes the hole in the bead is very large, then you may need to put a seed bead on to hold the larger bead in place. Most of the time, the best I can get is 4" pins with a pearl or clear plastic crystal on top. have fun. show us your pins.

oh yeah, sometimes I use shrinkydinks and draw a picture and shrink it down for the top of the pin. get creative with it, have lots of fun.
