Great Reasons (aka Excuses?) "not" to Clean-Up-Tidy-Up Our Sewing Areas ....

The only reason I don’t clean is, I forget where I put things. I put a piece of material away in a safe place. I wanted to use it for my mug rugs....guess what....it is so safe I can’t find it. I had to use other fabric, sigh.

I finally have to realize I have a mild form of ADHD - while I was growing up I had to have at least 2 things happening at once. My mother always said I was a true Gemini. Sewing is the same way - I have at least 2 projects going at once, usually 3 or 4. And if they are all put away then them may never get finished. (Out of sight - out of mind).
My friend and I meet up for a quilting retreat in Las Vegas - just the 2 of us. We bring projects to work on, we have a the-share unit and we are there 5 -6 days, and never put anything away. It's a lot of fun.

Excuses
1. It’s just my room. No one else in the family needs to be in there or wants to be, so they don’t care. It’s an upstairs bedroom only used by house guests maybe once a year.
2. I don’t have any pets going in there who might get hurt on sharp objects.
3. When I tidy it, i am immediately either wanting to jump into a new project and mess it all up again, or stand at the doorway admiring the clear surfaces. I snap photos to prove to myself that surfaces exist, then bedlam ensues as soon as I start the next quilt.
4. I haven’t found any lint in my lung x-rays.
