I'm going to do LBB (Little Brown Bird) by MACHINE with hand embroidery! And, there is a lot of embroidery, too. I don't need to make the same mistake twice. I've learned my lesson on AOTH!

Now Patti, ask and you shall receive, lol. Not a great picture, but it shows how the fabric looks right next to the blocks, I think a finished 1'' sashing between the blocks set on point then maybe a one inch inner border using this fabric. It picks up the metallic in the bobbin work floss really well....can you all tell I like bling? Funny thing is I don't wear gold jewelery, but sure love it in my quilts

Oh my goodness!!!!! That is going to be so beautiful!!

I wouldn't be so anxious about LBB if I weren't going to do it by machine with fusible. I love that applique method. I started out making AOTH this way, but switched after finishing the applique for the blocks. I am enjoying the hand applique with freezer paper method for now, but LBB has some really small pieces. I think machine appliue is the way to go for it for me. I'm going to make is Christmassy.

candi, your right, your fabric really makes all your bobbin work shine!
I love bling too, but I'll have to ooh and ahh over y'alls. Not going metallic on this. maybe someday...

Mousie, thanks. As I was looking at the blocks I made so far, the metallic was the most common color in the bobbin work and that is why I thought golden metallic sashings would time them nicely...of course I still have ways to go before I start that stage..but when I saw the fabric, I just knew I needed it

    Pat, lol, thanks again.
