My MIL used to do stuff like that all the time. If she wanted something remodeled she just started the demo. My husband told me that he came home from school one day and the kitchen was completely bare. All that was left was the stove and sink area. His mom and her girlfriend had even pushed and shoved the fridge out to the back porch. She wanted new cabinets and counters, the whole deal and his dad never had time, so she just tore it all out. Then he had to take a vacation and build it all out. They never hired stuff done.

I keep teasing my husband that I am going to take over the guest room, which is next to my sewing room, and that I want hi to tear down the wall. He says no. If I was younger I would be so tempted to just rip out the wall.

ROFLMBO I love it! Awesome start! :D:D:D

Although, I do agree that you should really make sure that is not a load bearing wall, if you are planning on removing any of those studs

too funny, did he freak out when he seen it? that reminds me of when we had a water bed, I hated that thing because, since he was heavier than me, he was in the vally, I slept on the hill..he worked out of town usually for 3 days..as soon as he left, I drained that thing and went to the local furniture store and bought a wonderful mattress set..I worked overnights with disabled people, got a phone call in the middle of the night wanting to know where the h*** the bed was at! he had came home early..BUSTED

Good for you!!!! Everytime I ask to improve things I get the same answer....No...so I always start a project and try to finish it before the hubby gets home and if he is done he always likes t....if not he whines...I just say...too late now...get over it, but I quickly finish within a few days and it always looks better no matter what it is....I figure what ever i do it could always be fixed later if he doesn't like it. He has never redone any of my projects - 27 years married... ; )
