Disappointed in whole-cloth quilt...

It IS beautiful!!! Another thing you might try to make the design pop is to trapunto it!!! Using 2 thin layers of poly batting really makes a design jump out. I was thinking of trying one with a pastel thread.....some day --- it's on my bucket list

Wow, beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. I think it's GORGEOUS. But I understand.... nothing ever comes out the way I see it in my head. Try to enjoy the subtle beauty of this amazing quilt. And fifty or a hundred years from now, it will be highly prized by someone who will wonder about the amazing woman who did all that lovely hand stitching.

Loretta, We can be our own worst enemy; your quilt is absolutely breathtaking! Your stitching is gorgeous! Because the stitching isn't "popping" for you and you're disappointed do set it aside for a little while. If you're still not happy with it I bet one of your kids would love to have it...or one of us.
