It IS beautiful!!! Another thing you might try to make the design pop is to trapunto it!!! Using 2 thin layers of poly batting really makes a design jump out. I was thinking of trying one with a pastel thread.....some day --- it's on my bucket list

Wow, beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. I think it's GORGEOUS. But I understand.... nothing ever comes out the way I see it in my head. Try to enjoy the subtle beauty of this amazing quilt. And fifty or a hundred years from now, it will be highly prized by someone who will wonder about the amazing woman who did all that lovely hand stitching.

I can see the medallions (and my eyes aren't all that great). I think it's lovely.

Loretta your quilt is really wonderful. I'm sorry you are disappointed with the finished product and I have been in your shoes myself. I love the black toile fabric you chose for the backing too!

Loretta, We can be our own worst enemy; your quilt is absolutely breathtaking! Your stitching is gorgeous! Because the stitching isn't "popping" for you and you're disappointed do set it aside for a little while. If you're still not happy with it I bet one of your kids would love to have it...or one of us.

I am so sorry you are disappointed. It is awesome and so very much work. Do you think if you put it away for a few weeks, you might have a different perspective. I hope so.
