Great find and I think it's neat when you get something that's just a little bit different from the norm - like it's white instead of black! Pretty cool.

And yes, that big thing is the buttonholer. It works really well actually, just cumbersome.

I almost fainted when I heard the price!!! The white FW are going for big bucks!! They only made them a few years in the 60's.

She's a little beauty. I paid 261.00 for mine on e-bay and was scared to pieces it wouldn't be a good buy, but it sews perfectly and is a little beauty. I named her "Baby" and she is the light green minty color. I'm taking her with me on my trip to see the kids for Thanksgiving and hope to get
in some sewing while I'm gone. Congrats on your purchase.

Sash....ha! try to sew on a busy holiday! :D would like to try too but i'll be full of Grandkids and riding the gator around the farm to sit long enough to sew! Have fun though.
