My friend has a Lt green one and it came from England. She had to take it in and have a different motor put on so she could use it. I seem to recall that some colors like white also came from foreign countries. Jan

I was SO out of breath ....MIL had like 3 in cabinet (singers) & 3 other portable all singers but one was a strange one that i can't think of the name. It was sitting all it lonesome self shoved under a tablecloth table full of christmas figures and i bumped it with my foot and look under the table....kinda dark but when i saw it was green/white box...I KNEW IT was the FW & closed my eyes & said Lord, let it be a FW pls, u know how long i have been looking for one??? She didn't even know what it was..wanted to know why i wanted this one among all the other better ones..so i told her and what it was worth but then again what it would cost me to service it , etc...she thanked me for being honest and ask if $30 okay? Ha, is it?? Happy Dance!!
Oh you lucky girl! Jan

It is a buttonholer. I remember them in the 60-70's for the singer I had.

thanks gramma jean! It sews good but i just wanted to service it first...no telling how long it has been since she used it. Care to share your pic with us? How do we know where it came from orginally? Mine was from middle1963 to early 1964.
I think someone says go to the "featherweight Singer" sites, right?
