The attachment is a zipper foot. The foot moves from side to side not the needle. I learned to sew at 10 on my Mothers treadle machine that my Father motorized. It only did straight stitching and I put many, many zippers in with that zipper foot. I also had the buttonhole attachment in that same pink box that I used on my 1960 Singer 401A. I had 3 little girls and made a lot of buttholes with that great attachment. I sold it for $5! Who knew!

I read somewhere that all original FW's were black. They simply weren't made in any other color. Any other color was refurbished. But who care, right? They look good in any color. Maybe our resident machine guru can confirm???? My mum bot one from a friend for $50.00. I have now inherited that one. I saw one in an antique store window in Port Townsend, WA - $925.00 !!!! Quite a price difference ! WOW!!!

I didn't see my spelling error in time. I DID NOT make buttholes but buttonholes! LOL

I am going to take a guess of $50. Nice machine. You will love it for its simplicity. I take mine to classes and love it. Jan

The attachment is a buttonholer. The cams are for different size/shape of buttonholes. I remember my Mom's old one!

There are definitely light green ones. My friend has one. Her case looks just like the case you have for your white one.
