I also was looking for a tissue when I read your story. I agree with all the above postings. So sorry for your family's loss. I still miss my mother and father everyday. Caregivers are such blessings. With the help of GOD's hand you blessed your niece with a beautiful quilt. Hugs to your whole family. BrendaK

Sorry for your loss, your Mother. Mine went to Heaven this past Sept 21st. Now it is a job to go thru her house and stuff. Quilting will keep you buzzy. I am glad that you finished that beautiful quilt for your niece. My prayers are with you and your family.

Your Mom had to have been a very special woman to have raised a special woman like you. May God give you peace and comfort during this time. You made a beautiful quilt for a wonderful (although unknowing) reason and person. She will treasure it always.

What a lovely story although a sad one. My sister died three years ago tomorrow and I had the privilege of going and helping care for her the last two weeks she lived. She was a quilter and had fabric to make quilts for her four granddaughters so I told her I would make them. I finished them in time for Christmas and added a label that said Maw Maw Diane had wanted them to have quilts made with fabric purchased just for them.
