So sorry for your loss, but this was a lovely quilt story. I'm sure that your niece will cherish the quilt made with your love for a special person.

Wonderful quilt. Your niece will treasure it because you made it and why you made it. Thanks for sharing.

Love it!! I have a real 'soft spot' for Crazy Quilts. Made one while still quilting by doing the block method. Have had lots of compliments on it, and it did turn out well, for my first crazy quilt!
My Mom made an Afghan C. Quilt, and I love it, and wouldn't let it go for anything.
Want to make another--sometime!! Famous last words for all quilters!!
Mariah.

It surely was a quilt with a mission, getting it finished in such an amazingly short time, phenomenal. Your work is beautiful, and the story, well, there are QB members the world over shedding tears over this thread. Condolences on your loss and thank you for sharing such a personal story.....we are honoured.

Your story brought tears to my eyes. I sat looking at your quilt for a long time before i scrolled down...all the while thinking how beautiful it was - and how it much it looked like the crazy quilts of "old"....kind of Victorian......
I'm sorry for your loss - and hope that you will have peace.
