Beautiful quilt and story. You didn't just bring tears to my eyes you made me sob.
I feel like your gift will be forever cherished. Your niece sounds like a wonderful woman.
I am sorry for your loss.

What a sad but beautiful story about your quilt. And I'm sure your niece will love and cherish the quilt always. There are angels in many forms, we just need to acknowledge them, this you did. God Bless.

What a sad yet heartwarming story of family helping each other through a difficult time in your life. When my mom finally consented to hospice coming in, my aunt and uncle (her brother) would check on her and visit when the hospice nurse wasn't there. When she passed on to join my father in heaven on Father's Day, we knew it was truly a miracle she held on that long, as the doctor had said at Thanksgiving she would not make it to the holiday. My aunt and uncle continued helping out though their lives were also busy, so when mom passed I gave them a crocheted table cloth mom had made and later made them a quilt. They are always telling me how much they love them both. I couldn't have done it without them. So glad you could show your appreciation with such a loving gift and i'm sure she loves it wholeheartedly. No one helps like that for the gifts, but rather because of love, but she will always cherish that quilt.
