What a great story. So sorry for the loss of your mother. Your recognition of your niece with the gift of that quilt was very special and very touching. I have tears in my eyes typing this. Your mom, I'm sure, is smiling down on you for your loving kindness!

So sorry for your loss of your Mom. Your quilt is lovely, and neat that you knew your niece would appreciate it.

The Lord does work in mysterious way. I wish I could hug you all. I'm still recovering from great loss. Sewing/quilting really helps. I feel my mom and sweet MotherInLaw by my side often. <3 Your niece will cherish your beautiful quilt.

I agree with all that Dunster said. You did make a very beautiful and lovely quilt. Quite an achievement for a beginning quilter but like me, I moved from sewing to quilting too.
