Yes, you get a completely different look when you look at a picture of it. Like Pam says, she wants to play with color placement some more.

Two rows done! I feel like I'm putting off doing the HSTs. :P

The pattern is from the May 2010 issue of American Quilter. I added the hearts and the border and used CW fabrics instead of the bright batiks used in the magazine.

I love how it looks with the hearts though I have a tiny bit of doubt that it's too "cutesy" and I've been looking at 4-petal flower shapes that would kind of echo the four circular look of the space between the blocks.
