thanks for all the compliments! but some of the blocks are quite horrible, the seems don't line up (sometimes by close to an inch!), it puckered, or the pattern I was following, I misfollowed, but in the last case, it made sure none of the blocks repeated when in fact 9 were supposed to. the worst blocks I put at the bottom so when it's on a bed, and hopefully it will one day, they'll either be tucked under or close to the floor so you won't see them, only the pretty blocks!

and I'll be sure to share pictures when it's completed, whenever that should be!

Very pretty quilt - you did an awesome job!! If you want to handquilt it, pick a batting that is a lower loft. Connecting Threads has their battings 30% off right now until the end of June. The Hobbs Polydown would be an excellent choice. Please post pictures when you have finished quilting. Be proud! It is lovely!

Pretty Quilt! Why don't you call it Lehigh Valley Quilt for your hometown.

That is a wonderful idea for a name. I looked at your quilt again and the title fits!

I use Mountain Mist quiltlite for my hand quilting. It is easy to stitch through, and holds together very well. I do use a frame to quilt on, and don't have to handle it only to sandwich so it doesn'tget the wear from dragging around and quilting in a hoop. The high loft is just too thick to get nice stitches. If you want a comfort, tie it. I have done this before and you can put your knots where seams aren't perfect and you can hide a multitude of mismatched corners. Good luck.

I would say that you have done an awesome job for your first quilt and you should call it "Sarah's Pride and Joy". Don't know about the quilting, but think the other's are right about not trying to hand-quilt a high loft batt. Tying would look perfect on that quilt too.
