It gives it such a homey feel. I would love it for myself.

Since moving to Mo 2 yrs ago, we have a little paper & in it was a classified for hand made pine caskets. I told my hubbie this is what I want & I want to line it with my quilts & I want you to put a needle in my hand & a piece of fabric. We built a very primitive log home & I live very simple so a pine casket would be all I would need.
Of course my kids all think that I am crazy.
Just give me a pine box with a quilt & send me on my way.

Hugs to you Donna...I will keep you and your sister in my prayers. May God guide and comfort you both...

I have never seen a casket lined with a quilt before but it is beautiful. Noone in my family quilts except me but they all love quilts. I would love that on my casket but whoever makes it.......Please take their time! LOL

I could buy one to put in a coffin...but I could never put a quilt in that I had spent many hours sewing. It would be such a waste of a wonderful quilt.

My SIL had made a prayer quilt for my MIL who had pancreatic cancer. She requested to be buried with the
quilt, and so she was.

I sort of like the idea, however I think it's strange to use a double wedding ring pattern. Lovely, but not the pattern I would choose. (Unless of course there was a reason behind it. )
