    Very pretty. Congrats on the new grandbaby:) I think you ought to take random lengths of the colors in the quilt and make your binding. It'd really set it off. Let us know what you decide:)

    First, adorable little quilt! Grandbaby will love it as he/she grows.

    Your checkerboard border is great - I agree, it would be a shame to cover up. Can you add a small border to the outside, that will be covered by the binding? If you have already cut the sandwich, you could make a little pocket on the side and stuff it with fluff .
