With the choice of fabrics that she sent you I think that you did a really great job with this quilt. You have a great imagination and I have to tell you that I could not have done such a good job. Three cheers for you!!!!!!!

It'll keep somebody warm. Its a bit of an ugly duckling.
It may have been better to use a different background?

You say you learned a lesson to speak your mind? Well here's what's on my mind... I love, love, love that quilt top! If it was for sale I would buy it! Its NOT even close to ugly! It looks so retro... like something from the 50's. "Use it up, wear it out, make do, or do without!" I think the fact that the fabrics do not match is what gives it so much character!Maybe my colors are not showing as vivid as some here describe this quilt; it looks busy, but not neon bright to me. I swear I want one like it! Its awesome and you did a fantastic job! Oh and BTW... I checked out the tutorial and plan to try to make one very similar. (Wondering what size strips you used.) Thanks for a fun and informative post.

Geez Louise you made me laugh. I 'm impressed with what you came up with but your right, it is ugly! But not the ugliest quilt I've ever seen.

I think it looks great for the fabric you had. It turned out pretty good. I love the pattern you used, and sure made the fabric look better together.

I think you did a great job. I couldn't pick out the fabrics you had to start with on my mointor. Am having issues with that but I still think you did good.
