I was checking irons at Lowe's a couple months ago and asked the price of a Rowenta on the shelf. They didn't have a new one in a box, just the floor model. When I asked how much it was, she didn't know, but said she'd check on it. I laughingly said, "Seems like $20 would be a good price to me!" She said I could have it at that price if I wanted it. I snapped it up and love it! It doesn't have the automatic shut off, so looks like I did even better than I thought!

A full size Rowenta is way more than $20. You got a good deal. I've had 2 Rowentas so far and both worked well. I know some people don't like them, but I do.

I have that one and bought it at Bed Bath & Beyond with a 20% off coupon for around $40 after JoAnn's would not let me use a 50% off coupon on the same iron in their store (that fine print on the coupon is hard to read). I like the iron but the auto shut off does not always work the same way. You will just get used to it. Stays nice and hot for pressing. Enjoy your bargain purchase.

I also have one that I paid $100.00 for over ten years ago and it still works very good. I love this iron.

Lucky you. Wish I could find a bargain like that.

I have one that I dropped a few times and broke the casing it is now held together with lime green duct tape but still works like a champ.

I love them. Great deal!!! My old one finally bit the dust so I bought a Black & Decker but ended up getting another Rowenta as it gets into the corners and irons better. The other would wrinkle the fabric.
