Your Dad may be like my DH. He retired from the U.S Postal Service and didn't want anything displayed or put up to remind him of working there. All his certificates are in a box in the closet. I do have some Christmas ornaments that I still put on the tree but that is it!

I forgot to add that I saved some of his work shirts and strips from his pants to make a throw. They are still in a box with my other fabric. Probably just include them in a scrap throw or quilt at some point. NanaLynn

It was the love you put into it that makes your quilt's statement - you done good!

Some people do not show thanks. My MIL never did. Maybe he is overwhelmed by your wonderful effort. You made an awesome quilt!

Great quilt. As others have said most family members don't comment. I know from last Christmas I did 14 Quilts for Mine and my husbands family gift. No one has said thank you or anything. But I have been to several of their homes and the quilt is on display. A few have said what their friends have said about them. Keep quilting from your heart and enjoy the completed projects. Happy quilting to you.

It is wonderful, so thoughtful. Sometimes our parents don't
know what to say to personal things. But they may be
bragging to their friends, you may not hear anything.
