Finally finished binding this bright quilt! My 16-year-old son wanted a tacky quilt, so I collected fabrics reminiscent of his childhood. Strawberry Shortcake and My Little Pony are me just being silly! LOL!

My local quilt shop quilted this for me back in March. I procrastinate with binding!

This one shows the quilting best.

He may have called it a tacky quilt, but I know that my own daughters have a strong emotional attachment to the characters from their early years. One daughter still has a thing about Care Bears, and the other has a soft spot for My Little Ponies. I'll bet your son treasures his quilt--we always seems to have a place in our hearts for things from our youth. In my case it's Sheriff John, Engineer Bill, and the Mickey Mouse Club!
