It is difficult to finish something that doesn't
"speak" to you, but IMHO your quilt is beautiful!!! Please don't stop.

I am almost afraid to say anything after reading all these remarks, but my thought when I looked at all those beautiful blocks was I'd use some color in the sashing--the green or blue. I think it would add some spark to it. That was just my first reaction. I do encourage you to finish it and letting it lay a bit is really a good idea. I often lay out my blocks with different sashing on the rows and after I "live" with them a bit (usually overnight) I can "see" what is going to work best. I have practically NO ability to see in my mind what something is going to look like--hense many of my quilts develop as I go along.
Good luck. Let us see it when you finish.

I think its beautiful! When I get to feeling tired of a quilt, I set-aside the completed pieces and then come back to it later when I am feeling more motivated.
I think if you stop now without completing all 25 blocks, you would end up regretting it (at least I would!).

That is going to be a beautiful quilt!! Don't give up now!

You have done such a beautiful job so far.

I love the colors.

Please finish and share your work.

Blessings,
Sandi

The blocks are beautiful, but sometimes we all just need a break from things to get inspired again.

Wonderful Job.
It is going to be "sew" beautiful when finished !!

Peggyinno 02-23-2011 11:08 AM

I think we've all been there!! But, you have almost 3/4's of the blocks done!!! And from the looks of it, it is gonna be a great quilt. Maybe you can do a leader/ender project with bright fabrics as you are working on these. It might put you on a more "joyful" track to get these done! Good luck

I had that problem when i was quilting my lattice quilt. I set the timer for 15 minutes and made myself work on it for that long. depending on where i was working when the timer went off, sometimes I kept going until I finished a section. I had it done in no time.
