We all need to create scrappy quilts.

Here is the Exploding Star quilt that I've been working on for my youngest son, who will graduate from law school in a few weeks. Of course I didn't see the obvious booboo until AFTER it was quilted! GRRRR! Hopefully by the time it's presented to him I'll be able to laugh about it.
It's 106 inches square, totally from stash except for 6 white fat quarters that I bought to add to the variety. The same light green print is used throughout for the "dark" portion of the stars, with the light being a different white in each star. I don't use a lot of white in my quilts so I had to augment a little. |

Here's a top I just finished from a $5 bag of strips. Still have enough left to make a baby quilt.

Finally got the binding sewn down on this scrappy quilt. Hand pieced the blocks together while I was chair bound with a badly broken ankle.

Very nice Lynnie25, This is my favorite thread on this forum. Now we need a Vintage quilt show right here thread.
