Here is mine. This is the first quilt I ever made. And while I worked on this one, I thought that I have so much talent. Now, 15 quilts later, I can't believe that this is my work. Shall I call myself ashamed? It seems so, haha.

There is no way I'm taking a picture of my ugliest quilt. It's tucked away in a drawer to remind me that I'm still learning. It's not my first quilt. I didn't like it much when I made it but I thought it might grow on me - but I was wrong.

Okay girls and guys, some of you need to put your glasses on. There is no doubt that the quilt I posted @ (#4) is UGLY, except to a four year old race car lover. The backing on that quilt is a huge black and white checker like a race flag.
UUUUUUUUGGGLLYY but loved.
peace
All the others so far are rather nice. I think the emotion that tags along with a quilt has something to do with how ugly we think it is.

Here's the problem...I don't think the fabric in nr. 4 is ugly at all. In fact, that bright fabric needs a black/white to balance it off--so I think it is fine. It is simple and bright...why ugly? In fact, if I could, I'd buy 4 yards of that bright fabric that you used. It's beautiful!
I'm sure I can find ugly, in my stash of tops, though...HMMM....but because I know that "each to his/her own" is true, I'll go ahead and finish them all and offer them as charity quilts--whether or not I'm personally attracted to it or not.

Hate to tell all of you but those are not ugly quilts. I know a sweet lady and her and her husband make the ugliest quilts I have ever seen and the sell them which is most amazing. They are well made and hand quilted but amazingly ugly.

I was just wondering if there were others who made a quilt and wondered why they chose those color combinations. I just pieced a quilt and realized my choices are ugly. "LOL" wondering what was I seeing that I,m not seeing now

My ugliest quilt (nope do not have a picture, couldn't stand looking at it) was a wall hanging with applique flowers, the workmanship was fine, the colors were ghastly. Looked fine for a wake or in a mortuary. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. The recipient was gracious enough to thank me profusely, but I never heard from her again. LOL

This is one that I never even finished because I was so disappointed in the colors. I think I should have auditioned the fabric better. I had made a red "Trip Around the World" called "Passion". This was going to be called "Peace". I feel as though I wasted fabric.

Garbage Can Quilt
This was not my 1st but I thought it was ugly.
Named it "Garbage Can Quilt" because I picked
the scraps out of a neighbors trash after her
yard sale.
Hope pic comes through (I am not on my computer).

I signed up for a Lone Star class and decided to use some scrap polyester to "practice" with in class. The teacher literally gasped when she saw my color selection of bright pastels...it looked like a rabid Easter bunny had gotten loose. Still a UFO.
