Default Opening most active threads on my cell phone

It seems since the board has changed that when I try to open any of the most active threads I can't. I can do it on my computer. The board's web pages open much more slowly than they did before. I am having trouble navigation around but of course that is because it is new. But I have to go to the general topics in order to read any of the posts on my phone. Hope this makes sense. I have not been active on the board for long but I have been lurking so I did know my way ground the old set up.
thanks for some help.
Kathy

yes. they have turned it off for now because it was creating a few problems.

they know how much we like it, so I'm sure they will bring it back as soon as they think it's "safe" to do so.

Try holding down Ctrl and down-arrow on the mouse. That will reduce the font size and put the whole width of the display on your screen. (Of course your font may then be smaller than you want.)

Question Not Enough Characters

I tried to post "that's beautiful" in a reply post, and I got a pop-up saying I needed at least 100 characters to post. What's up with that?

Also - how do I get the emoticon icons to appear in the message itself?

Default Is the new board slow?

I have been having issues with my pages loading very slowly. Sometimes I will get the message "Internet Explorer cannot display this page". Other times it just acts like I never even did anything. I installed Adblocker but that didn't help. Maybe there are just too many members on the board at one time? It acts like dial-up speed when we have broadband. Anyone else having issues? If not, I will look somewheres else to solve my problems. Thanks.

I had the same problem when I came here on IE. I have no problems when I come on Firefox. They have a great ad blocker also.

Default Sometimes when I click on next page or go back I get

I get a pop up that says something like, "are you sure you want to leave?" Like I've started a message but stopped. But I haven't. Weird. I just click yes and keep going.

I'm using Chrome and everything is loading quickly for me. Make sure you are emptying your cache, also.

I have referred this as a technical 'glitsch'. It's supposed to be 10 characters

In Quick Reply, you have to click on the smiley icon above the typing box. In Go Advanced, the emoticons appear in a group to the right of the typing box.
