If you actually deleted them then the only hope of getting them back is to contact admin or a moderator and ask for pity.

I have a similar problem. I relied on the software to correctly save my PM's before I deleted them. Only later did I find out that the software didn't work correctly, so the recipient on the sent pm's was not saved. Oh well... Because of that glitch in the software I think there just might be a chance that we might be allowed to recover some of the lost data, but it will be up to the admin to make it happen.

Where do I find my outbox on the new site.

Thanks

Go to your inbox (Notifications/inbox) and then on the left there is a box that says "Sent Items".

I don't think that's the software - it's the board and the way the PM's came over.

When I was going through deleting my sent messages (I wasn't going to bother saving anything), I couldn't find the addressees on most of them. Some were included. There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason - they were a combo of my initialing starting the conversation and PM's where I replied to received PM's.

I didn't really look much further. If I have some time later, I'll try again to see if I can make sense of why some PM's came over correctly and others didn't.

Not that it matters at this point.

The only way to recover that information would be to reconvert and repost the PM's from the old board again - which would mean you'd have clean up/out your outbox again. If they even allow the first part to happen. Sounds like a really messy proposition.

Default Sending Private Messages

Since the new web page appeared, I'm wondering if anyone has noticed if your messages are getting throught to the people you send them to and are you receiving them back. I have been trying to contact one member of the board and I am getting no response from them. Just wondering that's all.

I did notice that you have to change the settings under the "settings" tab to tell the site that you wish to have PMs highlighted. I suppose that they don't automatically jump out at you like they did on the old site. I also had to request that emails are sent on threads...that's also a change from the old site.

Unhappy Why am I getting no replies ?

To a thread I have posted, but having gone to that thread and can see replies have been posted. Is there something I should do to enable replies to my thread coming through to me. Also any threads I had "open" before the changes have also had additions and they too are not coming through to my computer ?? Thank for any help.

I'm not sure, but go to Setting at the top of the page, than on the left side of that, scroll down, you will see general settings. There is a lot on that page that helps manage your site. I'm not very techie but I did play with some of these.
