That is quite the accomplishment. Good for you.

I am deciding if I want to take part in the Bonnie Hunter mystery. That would be a great way to get rid of some stash.

On another note, several folks have mentioned the 2016 moratorium. I was going to ask if we wanted to continue, but it sounds like folks are counting on it! I'll set it up again.
YEAH! I must have the moratorium! I'd be buried in fabric otherwise.

Continuing is not a want - it's a need. It's a chance at sanity (albeit a small chance for me).

I hunted the stash for Christmas and winter fabrics and got them all pressed and ready to use. I'm making placemats to donate. I found batting scraps big enough in the batting stash. A little bit of tone on tone red and greens will be needed to get these done. This thread is helping with the willpower to buy only what is truly needed to finish a project.

Please keep the no buy challenge going in 2016.

So the hubs asked me if I would go with him this morning to do some errands. I had not planned on getting dressed, plus my back is out of whack (read: pained). He pouted for a moment (which is so cute on a 63 year-old) and then he broke into a huge grin: "Honey, if we plan it right we COULD EASILY stop at the Fabric Garden...." Well hells bells, that got me dressed and out the door in no time flat. Not a good idea to stop there before breakfast though. I did pick up some blacks and neutrals for the Bonnie Hunter mystery. (Both those sets I have very little) Now I have a little more.

Martina, new fabric is always allowed for medicinal purposes.

Belfrybat, I really think you have me beat with 17 tops to finish. I am guessing I have maybe 4. Hoping you can share pics of the SIX you finish by December. (Note- finishing just one seems way beyond my limit so if you do 6, you will have my deepest admiration!) Yes, Paper Princess...I do think we need to keep this going next year. I hope to do way better than I did this year..at least that is my goal! Plus, I loved the 'medicinal purposes' reasoning for new fabric. (see why I need this thread!!!)Martina, I am passing on the Bonnie Hunter mystery this year (but still saving the pattern) I have yet to do the one from 2 years ago (Celtic Solstice) I think my favorite quilt pattern ever.

Do you have a link to the Celtic Solstice. It sounds wonderful. I love all thing Celtic.

I have no finished tops. I do have some stacks of fabrics that are suppose to be tops some day. and several tops in process. One in time out until I figure out what to do.

My stash is currently manageable but it is a close run thing. It keeps trying to burst out of the craftroom.

I'm glad we'll have another year of the moratorium. It has helped a lot this year even though I fell a few too many times. Even when falling (except the LQS going out of business) I think my purchases were smaller thanks to having you guys to admit it to. The plan is to do better next year.
I put the red bargello for DS aside until he can see the fabrics I purchased and I get to a quilt store to get the right shades to go with what I already have.
So currently working on a baby quilt from stash and a double wedding ring mostly from stash. I had to purchase a yard of green for the wedding ring though. Thanks to the craftsy class this pattern finally clicked for me and I couldn't be more pleased. I have always loved this pattern and have tried (and failed) so many times that yes - I did a happy dance.
