All the kind words are really appreciated. i do like doing the hexagons by hand until I have to put the pathway on the top then it gets alittle bit unwieldy. Almost had to buy another purple for it. My purple and my blue purple are almost the same color. But we might be able to pull it off.

I didn't just have to buy a blue purple, I ended up buying 7 new fabrics and then pulling another 3 from my stash to finally get the look I wanted. I think it is organized now. I hope it is anyway. At least all of the fabric was spoken for so i didn't fall off of the wagon. I even got the snaps, zipper and interfacing without buying extra goodies for the classes. I'm taking the blooming nine patch class, the machine applique class, and the have it all wallet class. Then I think I am done for the year as far as classes are concerned.

Good job tkhooper! I've spent the last couple of days going through my scraps and stash and putting together blocks that will eventually go into a sampler quilt. So far, down several yards. I will have to go out this week to buy some backing and binding for the flimsy I've got ready to sandwich... do we get a pass on our birthday month????

Ryder, I don't know if we get a birthday pass or not, but I plan on using that excuse on my birthday month.

My niece wants to make a quilt, and it seems like none of my zillions of yards of stash will do, so she wants me to go fabric shopping with her. Sounds like an evil plot to undermine my shaky resolve.
Meanwhile, I just signed up for a bus tour from my LQS to go to the APQS show in Grand Rapids next month. I usually drive (3 hours one way) and spend a couple days. We'll see if I can do everything in one day. I'm hoping that after looking at the show quilts I will have limited vendor time.

Finishing a project always allows a free pass rryder....

I pulled out a BH L and E project...have 56 blocks up on the wall. Pulled some greens for connecting corner stones to add to the cream sashes, which I have enough for the backing...found a bit of brown for a narrow inner border and another geometric green for outer border. Not sure what I will use for binding, but that's minor at this point..no need to buy anything to finish....yeah....1 row is missing as it's at my machine..this is from 2" scraps

I deserve a medal today. We went on a road trip and there were about 7 - yes SEVEN - LQS along the way. I have you know that we did not stop at a single one. A majestic feat, if I say so myself. lol

oksewglad those blocks are lovely! Way to go on using the stash. Paperprincess sorry your niece didn't find anything in your stash - that would have helped in the busting. Wow Martina I'm amazed at your resolve. I sometimes have troubles saying no to one. We're planning a trip south (hopefully next year) and I'm wondering how I can justify a trip to the MSQC in Kansas.
