Retiredteacher09, good job on using up fabric from stash for tie blankets. We want pic when done.

I'm doing the BH mystery this year and all but the fushia color I got from my stash. I plan to add an extra border to make it 100" sq. I 'm just waiting to see how it looks in 4 weeks. Next year I think I'm going to start making string quilts. I have lots of strips of different widths I can use for them, plus it's a way to use my scraps.

Here is the picture of the fleece blankets for the children-2 girls and 1 boy. I didn't get a picture of the adult blankets.

Only bought a 1/4 yard of a white plush for stocking cuff that's it. I am so in for next year this helped keep me pretty much on the straight and narrow with only a few falls from the wagon and most were little ones. Not all mind you but most lol

retiredteacher09 those are adorable. They're going to love them.

Well it's a good thing I wasn't going to buy any fabric this holiday season because who knows how much I actually would have gotten! 22 1/4 yards with a quick tally so far! A big chunk - 14 yards is for a quilt my son wanted to me make in Wyoming Cowboys colors (brown and yellow). A great deal with Connecting Threads sales (30%) and while I was at it I bought Bloc Loc rulers I've been eyeing for months - so Merry Christmas to me I guess!

I did fine all year with only an early birthday exemption purchase when Hancocks closed down. But I fell off the wagon at the JoAnn's black Friday sale. I was short on Christmas fabric, and at 70% off, I purchased 6 pieces of 1 - 2 yards each. Of course, I only needed less than 1/2 yard of each for the pattern I'm making, but the sale bug bit me.
Although I haven't been very active on this thread, I also vote for a Moratorium in 2017.

Well I looked at my almost year end tally and decided I was a good girl this year staying within my budget...yesterday was my birthday so free pass today. My boss laughed at me today. My task was to straighten up fabric and put new patterns on the racks...while doing that I found 3 patterns I had to have, none of them the new patterns...every 15 minutes I was adding to my pile...we laughed and decided she was paying me to shop in her store! Now she's waiting for me to make something to bring back into the shop with these new purchases! It's a win, win for her...and you know win, win for me, too as I get paid for doing what I love.
