2016 UFO Challenge of the Month
#1191
Oops, after this post below, I realized I actually did NOT post the last set of finishes as a group as I usually do. Honors go to pyffer3, Jaba, Fraew (for her creative "finish"), TravelingGramma, and BlueBell. Toot, Toot for bringing us our final 8 UFO finishes for the month of March. The numbers from the earlier post still stand as i had already counted these finishes in them.
Thank you! Bring on April!!!
Thank you! Bring on April!!!
Since there have been no new UFO finishes posted since my last acknowledgement post, I'll give you the tally for March. We have had 35 finishes in March, better than one every day. Woo Hoo and Toot, Toot! Yes, we are slowing down but that's to be expected. But here's the really good part, we're up to 168 UFO finishes for 2016. Congratulations to everyone who has been participating in this challenge!
What can we do in April? This is April 3rd already and nobody has posted a finish. We do have our little challenge going so let's hope we get a little boost from it.

Two more UFO's finished
In January I started out with 46 UFO's - I just finished two more wall hangings using Aunt Gracie fabrics. I was only able to download one of the pictures. So I'm now down to 40 UFO's (not counting the quilts I started since my first count).

And right here are our first two finished for April. Congrats, Glojean! Toot, toot!

Glojean, I love the quilting design you've used!
Progress has stalled on my next UFO, as I've been preparing fabrics for an applique quilt (the biggest applique project I've attempted). I hope to get back to quilting the UFO this week.

Have been absent for awhile on this thread, but am hoping to get back to the machine soon. Life just happens sometimes! Congrats to all the finishers! Keep up the good work.
What's that you say? Oh....you mean I have to work on something to get it finished???....Oh....not just plan or "say" I'm going to machine quilt five tops this month?.....oh.... Well, here's to making a realistic plan and taking steps to actually do it!

Good job finishing both wall hangings Glojean!
I'm still finishing up piecing the individual blocks of the quilt that I started to reward myself for finishing the previous UFOs. I'm thinking it may end up in the UFO pile for next year while I try to decide if I want to make it larger--it was meant to be just a piece to use up some scraps and get me focussing on being more precise with my piecing, but I've decided I like how it's turning out, so I may enlarge it or maybe not LOL. For my next UFO (which I'll start this evening) I'll work on fixing the joining strips on the table runner I made last fall. I've also got a UFO from the Craftsy BOM 2013 that I pieced and quilted without putting the border on because I couldn't decide if I liked the border or not. So I've either got to add a border, or just bind it and call it done.
