2018 UFO Challenge of the Month
#1241
Good job on the house. Could you send Rocky right over. I have taken my lone star and put it back in the UFO tub and back on the shelf. I fixed the one thing that made it a UFO, but now I do not know what I want or how this will end up. I want a queen sized quilt and right now it is 51 inches square. and my fabric is limited. Marcia

Congrats on selling your house, Teen! I know it’s exciting, but also stressful at the holidays.
Marcia, could you finish out the corners as shown, then add some of the cream as borders? Make the top & bottom borders wider, then add more of the coordinating colors to tie it all together. Your color scheme is striking.

I shared these two on another thread earlier this week but they are UFO's that sat nearly a year in a bin and were finished this fall. I am part of the 2.5" Birthday Swap group here on the Board and well, I got behind in using my 2.5 squares. I have lost track but between these two quilts I have used about 1800. of the squares. Still more to go from previous years swaps, maybe 2000 and then about 1600 from my 2018 birthday swap. These little ones are going to rest for a while while I attack some UFO's and my scrap bin. Love this thread and I'll be back next year. It helps me keep on track with what needs to be done. I love the stories about the UFO's, the beautiful finishes, the sense accomplishment. Also getting to know you all. Such wonderful folks.

Two very nice finishes WMUTeach...doesn't it feel good to have them done...the rainbow with black is very striking and the first one looks like a fun one to wrap up in and read a good book with!

Hello UFO'ers, just one question, 'who stepped up to be the new conductor to the train?' Was it decided the method of reporting monthly totals as Rob Ryder suggested. Just report to the conductor via PM. Then, continue to show your pictures as usual. Am I suggesting too much to keep the train in motion? Well it was a thought, have a happy holiday everyone

I finished my daughter’s UFO this morning! WE’re both thrilled with it & now it can leave my house & go on her bed. My problem-what do I work on now??
I'll post a picture when I get home & can use my laptop to upload the picture we took today.
