My SBS quilt top is done!!!! This was quite the project in terms of challenges. It is the largest quilt top I've ever done, smallest pieced blocks I've ever done, and a gazillion new techniques I've never done. And, I'll be doing a pieced back, which I've never done. Any advice on the ladder, I'd appreciate it. I'll be tackling that this weekend. And, I chickened out on the pieced batting and ordered a king package. I'm so ready to get this done and start something new. And, I'm so proud of myself that I stayed with it so far and it hasn't ended up in a UFO pile.

Way to go, Teen! I admire your persistence in sticking with all those 6” blocks. Just reading your descriptions wore me out.

Congratulations, Teen. I saw your top without borders in the SBS thread, and it is truly beautiful. Does the pattern give advice on palette? I loved your blues with touches of yellow.

Joe'smom.....thank you so much! The book has a gallery of quilts to share different color ways quilter's have done but does not make a recommendation. Most have done using scraps, which is in the spirit of the author's story behind the pattern and how hers was done. One gal on our thread did Christmas fabrics and it was amazing. She won a ribbon in an England quilt show and was in a quilting magazine. So thrilled for her. I chose this colorway because I had 2 bolts of fabric I wanted to get rid of. Lol! I contrasted it with yellow and black to give me more color options in blocks and to give it some pop. I'm pleased you like it. If I were to do this again, I would do it in grays, black, white, and a bright color....maybe red or purple colors. I'm not a scrappy girl and would have abandoned this project if I had chosen this option. You should go for it. There are some still sewing their blocks and one will be joining soon to begin hers.

As for me, tried to post on Friday but page would not load correctly no reply box to type in?
But as you can see it's back.
I should have a finish this month, the table topper is 20 minutes from being finished quilted. Since it's small the binding should be quick.

Here is what I have so far on the chemo quilt. Unfortunately I haven't been able to sew today and can't tonight. (need to watch Jack's little league ballgame)

Pink fabric is next.

Well Oksewglad, I can give you some to work on for me. I have lots started.

I got a stress fracture on my second metatarsal joint right next to the surgery toe. I am so frustrated. Back in the boot for four weeks.
