Such pretty finishes!! Great job!!
My one UFO from last year (blocks found in pizza carton) have yet to be touched. I have no idea why I'm not working on this. I think it's because of the colors. I don't really care for brown.... My LA has invited me to her guild for a trunk show of my applique quilts and wall hangings. I'm thinking about giving these blocks to them for a donation quilt.

Hey Rob!!!! I tried a new technique today using the thread clippings from the back of my SBS. Thought I'd make a momento.....thought about you today as I did this....not nearly as pretty as your stuff but I had fun.... It's a 6" mug rug...
Can't see in picture but there are sparkly crystals in there, too...

That is way cool! Did you add the sparkly crystals afterward, or did you do a trapping technique? love it!

Thanks, Rob.... Not sure name of technique but it's the one that you overlay tulle and sew over to secure. The crystals are under tulle so I had to be careful not to sew over them. It turned out kinda goofy but it was a fun technique to try. Was going to do decorative stitching but decided against.

This isn't a UFO.....just playing this week with a new pattern book of applique birdy's.... Fun pattern... I'm piddling around right now cuz I don't know what project to start yet. Felt like appliquing so this is the result...

Pretty pillow top Teen. I admire your appliqué.
Like Teen I joined this board to prevent having my quilt tops become UFOs. I have enough of those in my knit & crochet world! So far this board has inspired me to stay with my quilts. I’ve started 5 & completed 3. I plan to work on my last 2 in the next few weeks. I start teaching summer camp on Monday so my quilting will suffer. Of the 2 quilts I’ve started, 1 is sandwiched & waiting for its turn on the sewing machine. I have the backing for the other one so it’ll be next! I’ve also started & completed 2 table runners & 3 mug rugs in between other projects. So thanks to all who post their completed projects here! I’ll post pictures when I can get back on my computer. Be clear-these finishes are NOT UFO finishes-but I'm preventing them from becoming UFOs.

Very pretty pillow Teen.
Conchalea, good job on keeping those projects at a level of finishing. Have fun with summer camp.

I actually pulled out an UFO tonight and I was surprised I was at the sandwich stage. I don't finish many of my tops into quilts because I leave the 2 organizations where I volunteer finish them for donation. When I finished the top last year, I planned to give it to my great niece as a belated confirmation gift as it was made from my own fabric versus donated fabric. I even have backing chosen for it so I don't know what held me up from finishing it. LOL! (Probably because I wanted to try to quilt it on my machine and couldn't decide on a design.) It is from Judy's Mystery Train 7.
