Well, I am going to have to jump off the wagon and do some shopping. i pulled out some (310) HSTs that had been languishing for close to 10 years, simply because they needed squaring up. They were made early in my quilting life when I didn't understand the importance of a block being square or uniform. So they became my next UFO challenge. Anyhow, they are all squared, and sewed together into a smallish top, about 39"X 45". i had 2 pieces of the coordinating fabric, but pulling them out, they are not big enough. I did find a JR of Bella solids that matches the off-white, But there is nothing that remotely goes with any of the prints. The collection is Dandelion Girl. i am going to have to go out tomorrow and see what I can find for a backing. i'll hold off on putting on a border with one of the prints till I can find something suitable for the backing.

Woohoo!!!!! Don't have to jump off the wagon after all. While waiting for my soup to heat i found some very soft yellow solid that works for the backing, and i can use the yellow print for a border and the check for the binding.

I took a slight tumble today. We had some cute bunny fabric that I used in a mini quilt for the shop. I spent the afternoon cutting fabric for kits and folding. It was too much for me and I caved bring home about a yard of fabric! Hope to make some cute table runners for Easter for family members.

One more finished
Woohoo, Road to Florida quilt finished, used up a lot of reproduction fq's (box doesn't seem any less full, hmm?). Almost stumbled, needed backing but found a leftover over piece buried in yet another box. Moved here almost three years ago and still finding things buried in the closet.

I leaned over the wagon and grabbed 3 pieces of sale fabric on sale At LQS. 1 yard of solid for $4.00 each and a 1/2 yard for $4.00. They all go into my stash. I like to support my LQS. I just went in there to buy a flying geese ruler. (One of my favorite rulers). I’m in the process of making several projects from my stash, nothing completed yet, but some close. Happy sewing/quilting everyone.

Thank you Iceblossom, this is one pattern I might make again using batiks. Finding forgotten fabrics and pattern ideas is fun. Probably need to get that closet organized. lol

Nice quilt tohkatz68!
I had another lean over the edge of the wagon yesterday. Got an email from Quilt in a Day about their skinny bolts and went looking for lights and light medium blenders in blues and greens since I go through those fairly quickly and my stash has gotten low on them. I found a good variety in smaller cuts and at prices between 2 and 4 dollars a yard And was patting myself on the back for mindful shopping when I spotted a medium scale print (definitely not a blender). It managed to find its way into my cart and made it all the way through the checkout process. I think I can still put it into the “mindful” category as it was also a skinny and is the same fabric that was used in a UFO that needs borders and binding to be completed.
