WMUTeach: Absolutely beautiful and an amazing story of listening to God’s direction.

I haven’t been accomplishing much sewing the last few days. Earlier in the week, I discovered a 2”HST was missing from my BOM from my LQS. I looked and looked off and on for a day and a half. Every time I would go into my sewing area, I would sort, press, and measure fabric that had been moved from my cutting area because I was frustrated with the clutter. I figured it was somewhere in those fabrics. I even looked in my paper recycling bag because it was done on a cupcake mix paper. We were only given enough for each cupcake mix paper. So last night, I decided to dump out a box of fabric to sort through every piece and still nothing. Everything was tossed back into the box, unfortunately. So I decided to look through the paper recycling bag by dumping it out too and sorting paper by paper and, lo and behold, I saw the red triangle part. It was still attached to the paper. I was obviously very relieved.

Although the search was frustrating, I emptied several small containers of fabric and put them in the appropriate places so that at least was a win.

Looking forward to sewing the next several days.

I bought the tropical print fabric in a kit. Didn’t like the pattern but loved the fabric. Of course didn’t have a clue what to do with it. Whilst scanning websites looking for something suitable for large prints I found this on the Moda site. It was designed to use alternating light and dark fabrics for effect but I used in anyway. All of the blenders came from stash. There was a ton of fabric so I had enough to make another top but can’t find it right now. Over 15m used for the two tops. If I find someone who loves it I will quilt and bind it.

Love it, Cattitude!! I really like the different colors of BG instead of just one color or just using white. Very creative.

Cattitude, those colors and prints just "sing" tropics and summer on the beach under a palm tree. Where is my sunscreen, big brimmed hat and lemonade? Oh, there are my sunglasses! Ahh. We can all wish...right?

Cattitude, that is wonderfully fun, festive and beautiful. I don't think you could have picked a better showcase for these fabrics!

Joined the VQW and got a top finished and used more stash but at same time added more bits to my leaders/enders bin lol. It's the MSQC "Irish Change" that I made smaller 78" X 78" using orphaned fat quarters and white on white backgrounds that weren't large enough for a complete quilt top so mine is kinda scrappy. Be awhile to actually get it quilted as backing and binding are still up in the air.

Hope everyone stays safe and healthy we are sure in some difficult times. Happy quilting all
