: Your quilt is so beautiful and the story behind it made me cry, the reason being, in 2013 I had cancer and my sister made me a quilt! She was taking care of our sick, elderly Mom at the time on top of it all. I finally got off my cancer meds the end of May 2020 and am feeling so much better. Your sister will love it and if she is anything like me, it will receive more tears, tears of joy. Much love to you and your sister, may you have many more wonderful years of joy together.

OKsewglad finished 2 quilts, one of which was 20 yrs old. That one reminds me of the BH Frolic quilt. And a Project Linus quilt, too!
Conchalea finished 2 pillowcases, upcycling orphan blocks. Good for you and good for us all.
NZquilter finished an adorable nursery wall hanging (Yay!) and is busy making little dresses. I still remember the matching dresses Mom made for me and my sister, and sometimes her.
Rff1010 finished her first ever FMQ project. A big Congrats.
Petthefabric finished a UFO is waiting for the label. We are waiting for the picture.
Belfrybat showed us what she did with the strips hanging on the back of the door and also showed us all up by finishing 5–yes, that is 5–UFO’s.
WMUTeach finished her UFO in February but was having too much fun to post a picture until March.
That is huge jump of 13 more to bring us up to 33! And we already have a jump start on March, so that looks good, too!
A big hand for all of us from all of us 👏
Me, I am still trying out the weave in the corners of my wall hanging 1 and hexies on the background of my OBW panel quilt. But I will get there.

Happy Sunday everyone, just got on board today to lurk around, yes I haven't been here for a while. I really am trying to get into packing. But, I love Teen's March finish such a gorgeous finish. I lost my baby sister to cancer in 1999, and she gave it a hard fight. But, while fighting she finished a pre stamped hand embroidery pre-quilted bed cover. It also was gorgeous and then I lost it, (that's another story). Glad to see that Teen can share that love with her sister.
Lovely February finishes everyone and let's continue to work at those UFO's. I'm still working on my new project the hunter star. My plan is to leave the top and the bottom here in Kansas with my cousin LA'er. Lots of time I fudge and say that I am packing when I am really piecing. At last I get to admit to the truth.

Teen - lovely quilt and thanks for sharing the story. So glad you sister is cancer free.
I looked through my half-finished, planned, stripped, and projected UFOs. I know I didn't have these many a few months ago! Where do they come from? I'll finish a couple more of the strip quilts (am getting tired of making them) and probably two others this month. It helps for me to have a UFO goal.
