Teen, my friend keeps saying how much fun she's having! Yesterday we found a big sandwiched quilt, but with double layers of batting, making it super heavy. Her daughter had started hand-tieing the thing but fortunately didn't get too far. We deconstructed it & removed 1 layer of batting, which had smaller pieces laid in it to fill the size. Coffee had been spilled on it, which may be why it ended up unfinished. The top has been washed, but the stain is still visible. We'll try again to remove it. Two layers of batting is just too heavy, both for us to quilt & for our area of Texas. But that extra layer will go inside another UFO from the closet, so it won't go to waste. My friend has an 8 foot table, which is great to work on. Together we basted my 2nd baby quilt, which I hope to quilt today. I didn't know how much fun it is to quilt with a friend, versus alone! I'm having a great time.

Ta-Da! I finished a UFO today. This is an exchange block quilt from 2011. I finished it today, label and all. The backing, batting and sashing were all from stash which makes this an even better finish!
