Bonnie Hunter had quilt cam this afternoon. She said you may need more neutrals. Check around 20 minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56WwHT9eRvI

Pagzz, I wish! But she said we'd be using these triangle units for something other than the star. :-( Your scissors fabric is darling!
GramE, Most of us are cutting up 3 1/2" strips. With your template you will be able to do true 'scrappy' triangles, cutting any little strange shaped scrap you have left over from something.

I enjoy seeing everyone's combinations of colors. Thanks for sharing.

I used the template for the neutrals and then the wing template for about 1/2 of the magenta. I finally decided to stop in at the local Joanns and get a Tri Rec ruler set. I'm so I glad I took the time to get it!

I still need to trim the top dog ears and some may need to be redone but my 100 are finished. I plan to do a rectangle quilt approximately 68 by 78 and, if there are extras, I will incorporate them into a different scrappy.

Connie, I'm glad I bought the templates too. I've calmed to the point I do believe my sanity is returning. I just have 50 pairs of wings to trim. I taped It's a Wonderful Life, sounds like a good time for multitasking! Good thing is that before I reread Bonnie's instructions I had cut the triangles properly, I thought the were useless for this mystery but now they have been redeemed! I only need to make one slice on each of the bigger ones!

I myself was beginning to wonder about this already. Especially since I was cutting wrong for a bit which actually turned out to be right in the end and I can trim the bigger ones but I don't have much neutral left. I didn't have any to start with so I guess another trip to Joann's is in order.

Flea markets and antique malls are where I most commonly see them. Sometimes the belts are gone, but you can buy a replacement pretty cheaply. Just make sure the machine has it's shuttle or bobbin case and some bobbins (depending on the model). Those can be harder to come by than a belt! If you turn the handwheel and everything moves smoothly, you've probably got a good one.

Givio, I found the avatar online. I don't think it's fabric...

Fraew, your quilt is going to be amazing in those beautiful batiks.
