Bonnie Hunter Winter Mystery 2022-2023: Chilhowie
#211

Thank you, Stitches….I’ve had the two fabrics for a few years waiting for inspiration…this mystery colorway was the catalyst to break it out and finally use it. Hopefully, will be a good choice. There is enough contrast between the three…fingers crossed.

Ok, so half it is...
Teen, love your fabrics!
I may not be able to start this quilt until after the holidays. I have 3 pairs of pjs, two Christmas dresses and one Christmas shirt for a boy, to make asap! Also another baby boy grand is coming in January, and I have yet to make anything for him. Grandkid sewing has to come first. I'll just collect clues and visit you all here before I can start.

Teen: I think your print will be fabulous. Your quilts are always so beautiful.
Sewbizgirl: I hope you’ll pop in from time to time to see what we are up to even if you don’t start until the new year. If the past gives any hint, many of us will still be working on Chilhowie when the next Mystery quilt is announced next October.

QuiltBaer, I'm excited for you doing your first mystery! I'll never forget the fun of my first mystery, which was Grand Illusion. I might never have discovered the Bonnie quilts if that first year thread had not been in the main forum. I don't think I would have found it in this forum

I had planned on easing into this, as I had more than my share of thanksgiving food to prepare. I also have two more baby quilts to finish before next week, and I’m going to be out of town over the weekend so probably won’t even see the next clue until Tuesday. But I have been able to use this clue for leaders/enders for the baby quilts so that I can see what they look like.
Love everyone’s fabric choices and progress so far. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the clues look like - even if I can only do a handful at a time.

Teen: Your units are lovely. Looks like you are using some interesting neutrals.
M-Fay: I like your fabric choices!
Woodland Creature: I think you are smart to make at least a few of the units each week. That way, if you have questions, thoughts or tips, you can share long before Clue 1 becomes just a blur.
