Looking great NZq...
I ran over mine while cleaning and counting UFO's..it's still a WIP in my world. No tire, I mean shoe, treads on the quilt basket while cleaning....

I did not start this when this sew along started due to too many irons in the fire. But since then I did it! I wanted it scrappy since I saw one on Pinterest years ago. I might quilt it with variegated thread. The binding is supposed to be the background fabric but I can’t find it anymore.

I like your idea of 'containing' the ### of colors/prints per block. Looks good.

Love the black background. I always seem to lean toward the dramatic quilts. I Googled Burgoyne Surrounded Quilt and found so many lovely variations. This is a quilt you could make 10 or 15 times and have almost a totally different look each time. Now the killer for me is those pesky 1 inch squares all over the block. One variation used a focus fabric instead of the 9 patch in the interior corners. I could do that. Maybe another focus in the outer corners instead of the 4 patch. Oh no!!! Got to get some finished before I start anything new.

I love the tiny 1" squares. I love the feeling of accomplishment when I get them all to line up! I agree about all the lovely variations out there. I want to make a traditional red white and blue one one-day.
