WMUTeach - what a beautiful quilt. I'm sure you'll make someone very happy with that.

SkubaK - no pattern really. The blocks are all 14" (finished) carpenter's stars, with an amusing sashing. It was an excuse to use up some fabric and practice Y seams at the same time.

Default Hydrangea quilt done

Celebrating today - I managed to finish up the quilt I posted about in #357 and others. All fabric came from stash, including the backing pieces. It is the first quilt I have done an all-over meander on. There are definitely a couple of little glitches there but they don't really show up unless you stare really closely at it. I also discovered that when you are hand sewing a purple binding to a green backing, a slate-grey thread blends in better than choosing either of the colours. Another step up on the learning curve! It felt SO good to put that last stitch in - I am not as prolific or experienced a quilter as many of you and I tend to agonize over every last detail (as some of you may have figured out from my posts) so getting a quilt to completion is feeling like a pretty huge deal. :-)

Woohoo!!!

Nice work Gemm. My guess is what you see as "glitches" will disappear when the quilt is washed and the crinkle shows up. Such pretty colors. Good choices.

Congratulations, Gemm! That is beautiful. The pieces of yellow are a wonderful touch.
