Thanks everyone, this is really out of my comfort zone and I had a love/hate relationship with it when I started but Jane is now playing nice with me

granny_59 the sashing is finished 2 inches wide.

I haven't measure it yet but it will be H-U-G-E

MiraB ... just did a quick calculation to 86-1/2" for blocks and sashings all round. So not overly huge. Guess it depends on how you are finishing it off? Doing triangles? other borders?

MaryK ... Happy Cottaging!!! I hear it;s a real zoo on the roads, so be careful! We'll look forward to seeing what blocks you finished while there. BTW .... did you do another duplicate block? ... nice to see it again!

Mirabelle, it's going to be a stunning quilt! So different from all the other DJ's I've seen.

MaryK, another lovely block! Saw your blog, wow wow wow. That's going to be a stunning quilt!!! Or already is?

Thank you Anael. Right now I'm wrestling with "the bird". I can't go away without getting it to a "certain" point.
Then I'll prepare the materials for a few blocks. Can't work in this afternoon or evening, too much going on (family), but my favourite time to do the hand work is early, early morning.

mirabelle - fantastic. And that sashing is perfect.

MK - looking good. Nice that you can spend a little quiet time with your quilting in the early morning and enjoy all the family throughout the day.

I must have missed something..what have they been up to now?
But I had a lovely afternoon and evening on Georgian Bay. And this morning I remembered my purpose in life and got down to business. Blocks M10 and M12 and we all had breakfast with Jane.

Breakfast was actually desert from last night. Peach Pie and bread and cheese. We were all so full we couldn't do justice to the pie. But we made up for it this morning. With more coffee of course.

Thought you might like to see what has distracted me from my DJ. This is 32"x38". Timing was great though. As I finished this today, the doorbell rang and a friend brought me her quilt to be quilted. It just never stops.
